Gmail saves all the e-mail addresses you type to offer them to you later. Here’s how to delete addresses you don’t want to keep.
Gmail has an elephant’s memory. Google’s messaging service remembers all the recipient addresses you type in order to suggest them to you later. A practical function, but sometimes you have to delete the recipients you do not want to avoid ending up with a too crowded list. It also avoids confusion if one of your recipients has changed their email address.
To clean, you must use a web browser, as the suggested addresses are not accessible in the Google Contacts app. We recommend that you use your computer for this operation.
- Launch the browser and log into your Gmail account. Click on the applications icon (set of small squares at the top of the screen), then on Contacts.

- In the contacts window, look at the left column. It includes the contacts that you added or imported, but also the frequent contacts and other contacts. These are the ones that correspond to the suggestions. Click on frequent contacts in the column.

- By positioning the mouse over one of the addresses, a check box appears to make a selection. Check the boxes of the contacts you want to delete. Then click on the three small vertical dots icon at the top of the screen.

- Then just click on To delete from the drop-down list to delete the addresses you selected. Do not forget to repeat the operation by clicking on other contacts in the column described above.
