Avoid running out of fuel by monitoring the remaining charge on your wireless headphones.
The gradual disappearance of the jack connection on some smartphones has led many users to turn to Bluetooth headphones. If this allows you to free yourself from the wires, you have to deal with the sometimes limited autonomy of these devices and organize yourself to avoid running out of fuel.
On an iPhone, connecting a Bluetooth headset causes the appearance of an icon indicating the state of charge in the upper bar, without however being able to quantify it with precision. Some manufacturers of wireless headphones offer an application allowing, among other things, to know the remaining charge, but this is unfortunately not the case for all models.
However, there is a very simple and often forgotten solution on iOS that allows you to monitor the exact charge level of your headphones. Here’s how to activate it:
1. Access Widgets
To quickly access iOS widgets, swipe the Lock screen or Home screen to the right.
2. Add a new widget
At the very bottom of the already active widgets, tap the Edit button. In the “More Widgets” list, find the “Batteries” widget and press the “+” button. Move the position of the widget up in the list by holding down the button to the right of the widget.

3. Display the autonomy of your headphones.
Connect your usual headphones, then display the dedicated widget screen again. You should see the details of the remaining battery life appear on your wireless headset.
