Google Chrome on Android has a hidden function to display the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
Are your fingers or hands not large enough to reach the navigation buttons on the Chrome toolbar on Android?
Google’s mobile web browser can solve this problem very easily by migrating the navigation buttons close to your thumbs, as is the case on iOS. This requires activating a hidden browser function.
1. Go to hidden Chrome options
Open Chrome on your Android smartphone, and type chrome: // flags in the address bar.
This page groups together all the experimental functions available in the browser, but not necessarily activated by default.
2. Activate Chrome Duet
In the Search flags search box displayed at the top of the screen, type Chrome Duet and complete your search. Expand the menu displaying Default, and change the parameter to Enabled.
3. Restart Chrome
Once the setting is enabled, a Relaunch Now button should appear. Press it to relaunch the browser so that the changes made are taken into account.
The new parameter set may not be correctly taken into account by Chrome. If this is your case, do not hesitate to kill the application before relaunching it. You should then see the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
