Locally save a video broadcast on Facebook to your hard drive without going through a third-party service.
How to easily retrieve a video posted on Facebook? This question, many users have undoubtedly asked. And for the most part, the manipulation to get there is to copy and paste the video URL into a third-party online service.
The only problem is that while there is a plethora of free online services offering to download Facebook videos for you, a large number offer this service free of charge against the display of sometimes very intrusive, and often dubious, advertisements, which can have serious consequences for your computer.

It is indeed not uncommon to come across malicious advertisements offering to download Flash Player (a plug-in abandoned by Adobe for a long time) actually serving to hide malware on your computer. Still, downloading a video from Facebook can be done fairly easily from your web browser, without having to use any third-party service. Here’s how.
Also to discover in video:
1. Copy the URL of the video
To download a video posted on Facebook, first retrieve its URL. To do this, click at the top right of the post on the options button represented by three small dots, then click Copy link.

2. Paste the link in the browser
Open a new tab or page in your web browser and paste the link you just copied and hit the Enter key on the keyboard.

The shortened URL, in the format https://fb.watch/xxxxxxxxxx/, is automatically redirected to a more conventional URL, in the format https://www.facebook.com/watch/xxxxxxxx.
In this new URL, replace the www by the mention mbasic and validate by pressing the Enter key. You should get a URL in the format https://mbasic.facebook.com/watch/xxxxxxxxxx.

3. Record the video
You’ve now arrived at the basic mobile web version of Facebook, which isn’t used much these days. Start playing the video in the browser. It should then open in a new tab

Now right-click on the video being played, then in the pop-up menu that appears, click on Download video as / Save video as (depending on the web browser used).
You just have to enter the name of the video, choose a save directory, and validate its download by clicking on the Save button in your file explorer.
