Find the title and the name of the artist of the music that has been bothering you for several days by humming the melody directly to your smartphone.
You too, for a few days, you can’t put a name to this tune that occupies your head? Without even knowing (and sometimes understanding) the lyrics of the song you are singing, it is difficult to launch a query in a search engine to hope to find the name of the song or its author.
But you don’t necessarily need to know the words to a piece of music to identify it. With a little artificial intelligence, and thanks to your talent, you can ask Google to find for you the title of a piece of music and the name of the artist by simply humming it. Here’s how.

1. Download the Google app
If you have an Android smartphone, the Google application should, in principle, already be installed on your device. If you have an iPhone, however, you’ll need to download the app to your device if you haven’t already.
Download Google for Android (Free)

2. Run a request
Open the Google app on your smartphone, then in the search field, tap the icon with a microphone. Then tap the Search Song button, displayed at the bottom of the screen.

3. Hum the tune
Now take your most beautiful voice to hum the unknown song that haunts your mind. Hum as long as necessary until the Google app stops listening.

Depending on your talent, Google should display a list of several results that might match the tune you just submitted.
If the application fails, try again by trying to apply yourself a little more or by choosing a more characteristic passage of the air. Google should end up identifying this tune that never leaves you.
