Easily find all the images of a person by identifying faces in your photo library.
Finding a specific photo or video where some of your loved ones appear on your iPhone is not always easy. However, there is a very easy way to find all the photos of the same person among the thousands of images, video clips and screenshots that you store on your iPhone.
The iOS Photos application indeed integrates a face recognition function that allows you to group together, in a dedicated album (People), all the photos in which a person appears. You can easily find the images, videos and Live Photos of each identified person. iOS is also responsible for automatically generating video memories of people whose faces have been identified on iOS.
1. Identify faces
To start grouping your photos by faces, you must first identify these faces and give them a name.
Open any image in your photo library that has people whose faces you want to identify and swipe up on the image to bring up the options. A line grouping all the detected faces is displayed.
Tap on one of the faces to select it, tap Add name, and enter the person’s name next to the thumbnail. Confirm by pressing Next. A confirmation window showing the close-up thumbnail and associated name should then be displayed. Press OK to validate and close the identification window.

Then return to the options by pressing the Back button. Select another face and repeat the identification step.
2. View a person’s album
To view all of a person’s photos, videos, and Live Photos, open Photos and go to the Albums tab. Scroll through the albums until you reach the People and Places section and enter the People album

Then tap on a face to open the album containing all the content on which it appears. At the top of the album, a video automatically generated by iOS compiles photos and videos in a mini film, animated by a soundtrack.
3. Personalize the video
If you want, iOS allows you to customize the automatically generated video. Press the play button, and tap once on the screen to bring up the options. Select the music to use by pressing the adjectives corresponding to the mood you want to give to the film. Then select the length of the movie by pressing Short, Medium or Long.

To go further and select the images to use, press Edit, and validate the addition to memories by pressing OK. You will be able to modify the title and the opening image, add other images, personalize the soundtrack by choosing a suggested music or by going directly to your music library, and finally, configure the duration, to the nearest second , that you want for your video

4. View all images of a person
A person’s album natively displays only a summary of the images on which it is identified. Tap Show more to view all images the person is tagged with.

To more easily find a specific image to share, it is possible to zoom in on the face identified in all the images. Tap Select, then tap Show Faces to have each thumbnail automatically zoom to the part of the photo where your face appears.
Then select the images to share, deploy the share sheet by pressing the appropriate button and choose the sharing mode to use.
