Use Google webmail to manage and use all your email addresses from a single interface.
Like many Internet users, you probably have several e-mail addresses that you use in different cases: a personal address, a trash address for online games for example, an address for online purchases, etc. To avoid having to manage all these addresses on different webmail, it is quite possible to group them together in a single interface.
This is what Gmail offers in particular, which includes a function allowing you to configure any e-mail address. You will be able to consult all the messages received from a single inbox. Even better, you can use the Google webmail interface to send messages with your other email addresses. Here’s how to set up all your email addresses in Gmail.
1. Go to Settings
Log in to your Gmail account, click on the cogwheel icon at the top right of your inbox, and choose Show all settings.
2. Import an email account
Then go to the Accounts and import tab. Locate the View other email accounts line, and click Add email account.
In the window that opens, fill in the email address you want to import and click Next.
Gmail then offers two options: Link the account via Gmailify or Import emails from my other account (POP3). Keep the Associate copy via Gmailify setting so that you can use your other email address with Gmail features. Then click on Next.
You should see a new window prompting you to Allow Gmail to access your third-party email information. Validating this permission is essential for Gmail to access and manage your other mailbox.
A confirmation window should indicate that your account is now associated with Gmail through Gmailify.
3. Send emails in Gmail with another address
Return to your inbox. Emails you receive on your other email accounts should now go straight to your Gmail inbox.
Now click on New message to start writing a new e-mail. A drop-down menu is usually visible at the end of the From line, where your Gmail address is mentioned. You can then select the email address with which you want to send your email from Gmail.
You can repeat this operation for all of your e-mail addresses. You will be able to consult all the messages received in these boxes directly in Gmail, and will also be able to send messages from Gmail using these addresses.
