Configure your iPhone settings to stop receiving unsolicited images on your iPhone.
Apple’s wireless file sharing technology is amazingly efficient. Available on Macs as well as on iPhones and iPads, it works the same way on all of the brand’s devices.
Introduced in iOS 7, AirDrop has greatly facilitated the sharing of photos and videos among iPhone owners. But while AirDrop is very convenient, a bad setup can sometimes have a few surprises in store for you.
In public places where many people are concentrated, such as shopping malls or public transport, more and more users are being spammed via AirDrop.
Little jokers take advantage of the fact that the file sharing function of your iPhone is open to all to try to play a joke on you, sometimes in bad taste.
Apple has, it seems, changed the way AirDrop works since not so long ago, a preview of the file shared by AirDrop was automatically displayed on each share request.
Now, when the number of people who try to send you content by AirDrop is saved in your address book, a preview of the file as well as the name of the person are displayed.

On the other hand, when a stranger tries to share an image with your iPhone, you receive a notification, but the notification does not show any preview and only shows the name given to the device.
To put an end to these spam attempts, you should therefore restrict AirDrop sharing on your iPhone. You can do this in two ways: from Control Center or from iOS Settings.
Restrict AirDrop from Control Center
Unfold the Control Center and keep your finger on the area dedicated to wireless connections to fully open it.
Once the panel is fully displayed, tap AirDrop and choose Receive Off to stop receiving any files, or Contacts Only to only allow file sharing from contacts saved in your address book.

Restrict AirDrop from Settings
Open iOS Settings, go to the General menu and enter the section dedicated to AirDrop.
Likewise, Receive Off will prevent anyone from sending you files through AirDrop, while Contacts Only will only allow contacts in your address book to share content with you.

In any case, if you happen to use the Everyone setting to quickly share content with people not saved in your address book, don’t forget to go back to the AirDrop settings on your iPhone. to restrict access to your contacts only or disable it completely.
