Fill out administrative documents and affix your signature directly from your iPhone, without a third-party application.
Who has never railed by receiving administrative documents by e-mail to return filled and signed? While it is possible to perform the operation from a computer using, for example, PDF reader software, the operation can also be performed very easily from a smartphone. And more particularly from the iPhone.
The Apple smartphone indeed embeds very practical annotation tools that allow you to add blocks of text, but above all to affix a handwritten signature directly from its screen. In the following lines, you will discover how to quickly complete and sign a document to send it back from your iPhone.

1. Open the annotation tools
Start by opening the document to fill out on your device. Whether saved in the Files document manager or an attachment received by email, the annotation tools are accessible by opening the document, then pressing the icon with a pencil.

2. Complete your document
Once the annotation tools are displayed, press the + button to display more options. Select Text, move the text window that appears to where you need to add information and double tap it to activate the cursor and enter your text.
To decrease the size of your text, select your block, and press the aA icon at the bottom of the screen. You can increase or decrease the size of the text, choose the font, and align, center or justify your text.

3. Add your handwritten signature
Now that you have filled in all the fields, press the + button and select Signature. Then make your handwritten signature directly on the iPhone screen using your finger and press OK.

You can move and enlarge the signature you just created to sign your document on OK to validate and save your file. If you have made your changes from an attached file received by email, iOS will offer you to use the Reply to all function or to write a New message including the attachment signed by you.
Note that once your signature is created in the iOS annotation tool, it remains saved on your iPhone and can be reused later to sign your future documents.
