Free up storage space on your hard drive and optimize your PC’s performance by removing all software preinstalled in Windows 10.
Whether you’ve just bought a brand new PC or restored your PC to its factory settings, Windows 10 is very frequently polluted with preinstalled software. Often presented as demos, these software unnecessarily occupy the hard drive of the device on which they are installed. Worse yet, some of them can monopolize your machine’s resources and negatively affect that performance.
Also called bloatware, these programs are present in several forms: they can be games, trial versions of commercial software or services directly attached to Microsoft such as Bing Finance, Bing News, Bing Sports, etc. Most can be uninstalled fairly easily, but some stubborn programs are still difficult to remove. Here’s how to get rid of it.
1. Download Windows10Debloater
To uninstall bloatware from your machine, you will first need to download Windows 10Debloater and unzip the resulting archive on your PC hard drive.
The Windows10Debloater directory contains a set of scripts which, once executed, take care of uninstalling unnecessary software.
Several scripts are contained in the archive. We will focus on the one called Windows10DebloaterGUI, easier to use since it allows you to display a graphical interface.

2. Copy the script
Before you can run it in Power Shell, you will have to copy the code that will allow the software to run. In the Windows10Debloater-master directory that you just unzipped, right-click on the Windows10DebloaterGUI file, and then click Open with.
Then select all of the content displayed in Notepad using CTRL + A and copy it using CTRL + C shortcut.
3. Start Windows PowerShell
Click the Windows 10 Start menu, and then in the search box, type Windows PowerShell. Then right click on Windows PowerShell and choose Run as administrator.
4. Run the script
Paste, using the CTRL + V shortcut, the contents of the previously copied script and press the Enter key on the keyboard to start the execution of the script.
If all went well, the Windows 10Debloater window with its graphical interface should appear.
Click on Remove all Bloatware. The bloatware removal script runs in the background in the Powershell window. Wait while the script finds and removes unnecessary software on your machine. When the cleanup is complete, the Finished all tasks message should appear in PowerShell.
Click on the Windows 10 Start menu. The list of preinstalled software should have grown considerably.
