Put mis-oriented videos back the right way by rotating them using an extension on your iPhone.
Surprising as it may sound, iOS does not provide the ability to rotate misdirected video natively. The functionality exists for photos, but is not intended for videos.
To put a video back the right way on iOS, you’ll have no choice but to go through a third-party app. Video Tools, available on both iPhone and iPad, lets you rotate your misdirected videos in seconds.
1. Download Video Tools
From your iPhone or iPad, download the Video Tools app. This video toolkit allows you to convert your videos to play them back, rotate misdirected videos, speed up the playback of your clips, zoom in or even apply an inversion to your videos.

2. Activate the extension
Video Tools works in two ways: by importing your videos directly from the main interface of the app, or by using it as an extension in iOS’s Photos app.
Open Photos and view a video you want to edit. Press the Edit button to open Photos edit mode, press the three small dots and then press Other.
Activate the Video Tools button so that the extension is authorized in Photos and validate by pressing OK.
3. Apply a rotation
Still from the options menu, figuring the button displaying the three small dots, press the Video Tools extension.
The video to edit is automatically opened in the application. Touch the Rotate button as many times as necessary to put your video back in the correct direction and validate by pressing OK.
The video is re-exported and automatically saved to your Camera Roll instead of the mis-oriented video.
