Gmail users can now schedule a message to be sent in advance. Here’s how to do it.
Google unveiled several new features a few weeks ago to celebrate Gmail’s 15th anniversary, including the ability to schedule the sending of emails. While this feature is long overdue by users, until now it has only been available through the use of a third-party extension.
The option to schedule the sending of a message is now officially available in our latitudes, here’s how to use it.
1. Write a new message
Log in to your Gmail inbox and click on New message to start composing a new email. Once your email is complete, click on the small arrow displayed to the right of the Send button then on Schedule sending.

2. Customize the time and date of sending
In the new window that appears on Gmail, several possibilities are available to you. By choosing one of the dates suggested by Gmail, the message will be automatically validated and scheduled for sending.

On the other hand, if you want to Choose a date and a time, you will have to click on Schedule sending to validate your scheduled message.

3. Modify the schedule
You forgot a detail in your message or you simply want to postpone its sending? In the left column of Gmail, click Scheduled.

Hover your mouse pointer over the date and time of sending of your scheduled message to display the different options and choose to put it on hold by clicking on the clock icon

Choose a new date from the suggestions, or click Choose time and date to customize the sending date and time
