Is my mobile compatible?
First important point, are you eligible for this new service? If you have an iPhone, the answer is no. Apple’s smartphone could gain this feature in the coming months but is not compatible when the service launches. On the other hand, if your Android smartphone is NFC compatible, you can take advantage of portable charging. All you need to do is go to the Play Store and download ViaNavigo.
To find out if your mobile has an NFC chip, search for “NFC” in the settings. The option should appear there. You just have to activate it.
Very fast reloading
First step, open the ViaNavigo application. Go to the fourth tab called “Purchase”. You have two options: buy a subscription “on my phone” or “on my Navigo pass”. Obviously, you have to choose the second.
Take your Navigo pass and affix it to the back of your mobile. Be careful, the detection can be capricious. If this fails, try to move your card to find the most sensitive point on your mobile (close to the NFC chip in fact). Keep your pass on the back of the device while it is being detected.

If all goes as planned, your smartphone should display your current subscription. Then click on “Buy a title” and you will have the choice between a day, weekly or monthly subscription. Once the desired package has been selected, ViaNavigo will ask for your email to send you an employer summary. We then switch to a payment page where you must enter your bank details. 3D Secure requires, remember to know your bank security code. Each establishment has its own way of authenticating you and you may need to go through your bank’s application.

Once the subscription has been purchased, you must once again place your Navigo pass on the back of the mobile so that it can be recharged. It takes less than 5 seconds and, presto, your package is recharged. Goodbye long queues, hello modernity.
