Hyundai comes with a new crossover in the Captur segment

Crossovers and SUVs, as a car brand you cannot have enough of them in your showroom. Hyundai announces the arrival of a new crossover: the Bayon.

Hyundai reports that it has a new SUV in its development rooms. The high-legged model is immediately given a name: Bayon. The Korean is named after the city of the same name in the southwest of France. Why? According to Hyundai, the Bayon is “primarily a European car.”

That all sounds great, but what will the Bayon be? It will be a new crossover for the B-segment, which will be placed under the Kona. That will make the Bayon the smallest Hyundai crossover in Europe. Incidentally, it is not inconceivable that Hyundai will bring a version of the Venue delivered in the United States that is both optically and technically adapted to our continent for the European market. With its length of 4 meters, the Venue is about 20 centimeters smaller than the Kona. Another compact crossover that Hyundai sells outside the Dutch borders is the also called Creta ix25. That model, with its 4.3 meters length, is a less obvious candidate. Of course it is also possible that Hyundai prepares a completely new model for Europe.

We will hear more soon. In the first half of next year, the Bayon should already be at the Dutch dealers.
