Hyundai Ioniq 5 sold out very quickly

Never before has a Hyundai model sold out as quickly as the all-new Hyundai Ioniq 5. Within 24 hours, Hyundai claimed to have received almost three times as many registrations for the special Ioniq 5 Project 45 than the number of copies of that introductory version.

At the end of February, Hyundai unveiled the Ioniq 5, an all-new electric model that is not only the first Hyundai on the E-GMP platform, but also the first in the base EV-developed Hyundai of the new Ioniq model family. The brand immediately announced the arrival of a special introduction version, the Ioniq 5 Project 45. That special edition of the Ioniq 5 was sold out in no time.

The first series of the Ioniq 5 to be launched in Europe, is this packed and motorically most powerful version of the electric newcomer. The Netherlands is one of the first countries where this Ioniq 5 Project 45 will be available. Only 3,000 copies will be available across Europe. Hyundai indicates that within 24 hours of opening the digital order books, almost 9,000 registrations for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Project 45 were already on the digital mat.

Anyone who has fished behind the net does not have to fear that the Ioniq 5 will pass his or her nose. The prices and starting price of the regular versions of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 will follow later. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 Project 45, named after the Hyundai 45 Concept on which the design of the Ioniq 5 is based, had a starting price of € 58,995 in the Netherlands. A lot of money, but you do get a loaded version and the 306 hp and 605 Nm strong powertrain with four-wheel drive.

The equipment includes 20-inch wheels, a roof with solar cells and the extensive head-up display. The prices and starting price of the regular versions of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 will follow later.
