Hardly any current Hyundai can be found without an expressive face. The Tucson front appears to like Hyundai, the stubborn design of the front of that SUV seeps through to a much smaller crossover.
When you walk into the Hyundai showroom, you will encounter an extensive range of models. The brand’s crossovers and SUVs in particular have a strikingly pronounced design with their multi-layered lighting. From the Bayon to the Kona and from the Tucson to the Santa Fe. The front of the Tucson, with its lighting hidden in the grille, is perhaps the most striking of the bunch. What seems? One of Hyundai’s smallest crossovers also gets a similar design.
We are not talking about the Bayon or the recently presented small Casper in South Korea, but about the Creta. The Creta, called ix25 in China, has been on the international market since 2019 and will soon receive a facelift, at least in Asia. The current model has a front that is somewhat reminiscent of that of the Santa Fe’s big brother: the Pallisade. For the facelifted variant of which the Indonesian department releases the first design sketches, Hyundai chooses strikingly enough for the front of the Tucson.
In addition to the front, the facelift of the Creta promises to bring little new. The Creta will not come to the Netherlands, since Hyundai has the Bayon specifically developed for the European market in its range. Incidentally, the Creta is not the first long-legged to be fitted to the Tucson front. The Santa Cruz, a compact pick-up that Hyundai has developed for the American market, already has a similar front.
