The Italian newcomer Aznom has presented the Palladium. It is a cross between a Rolls-Royce Phantom and an unnecessarily powerful SUV. Under the skin, however, it is a Ram 1500. This is perhaps the most insane creation of the last few months.
The Italian Aznom has been teasing its Palladium, a car that the company previously tried to praise with descriptions such as “powerful and unstoppable four-wheel drive off-roader” and “hyper-limousine”. Nothing seems to lie in those elegant words. The Palladium is in fact completely mesjogge in every respect.
We start with the dimensions. The Aznom Palladium is quite long with its length of 5.96 meters. In comparison: a Rolls-Royce Phantom EWB, with an extended wheelbase, is only marginally longer at 5.98 meters. There is a distance of no less than 3.67 meters between the front and rear axles of the Palladium. The two-meter-wide and almost two-meter-high monster puts 2,650 kilos in the shell and is therefore – especially with this aggressive muzzle – a monster that you like to step aside when you pop up in your interior mirror.

Like the Atalux that Aznom presented earlier, the Palladium is based on Ram’s 1500. Although this time it is of course the most recent generation of that pick-up. The dashboard comes from that Ram 1500, although it is quite dressed up. We will come back to that later. First the drivetrain. The Palladium weighing more than 2.6 tons has a 710 hp and 950 Nm strong biturbo 5.7 V8 under the hood, from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The heart is linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission that distributes the power to either the rear wheels only or to all four wheels. The Palladium sprints to 100 km / h in 4.5 counts. Its top speed is 210 km / h.
Aznom Palladium
The interior of the Palladium is cluttered to the smallest nooks and crannies with leather and wood finishes. In the back we find a back seat where two occupants can bathe in somewhat gaudy luxury. Palladium tucked under the armrests on either side of a refrigerator and allows the occupants to enjoy the drinks from crystal glasses. There is also something special going on with the exterior. The 22-inch light metal colossus has, among other things, an impressive and fully illuminated grille as a grille, a kind of porthole in the C-pillar and a luggage compartment that is accessible like a kind of drawer. Crazy. Aznom will make ten copies of the Palladium in total. Each one can be completely adapted to the customer’s taste.
