Apple has only released a new version of iOS 18.3 for these iPhones. It is striking that Apple has re-released the update for the iPhone 11 series, because the phones were already updated last week to iOS 18.3.
It is not exactly clear why Apple has released a modified version of iOS 18.3 for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. A software problem is probably solved, which only occurred with these iPhones. There is a chance that it is a security problem, making it important to install the update as quickly as possible. This way you know for sure that the security of your iPhone is in order again.
New functions in iOS 18.3
With the renewed version of iOS 18.3, Apple brings no new functions to the iPhones. Instead, the company solves software problems with the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. All new features came to the phones last week with the first release of iOS 18.3. For example, the calculator has a handy function and a problem with Siri has been resolved.
All iPhones in the European Union have to do without the most important functions of iOS 18.3. With the update, Apple has improved a number of parts of Apple Intelligence, including Visual Intelligence and the summons of reports. Unfortunately, that technology is not yet available here, which means that iOS 18.3 is a relatively small update in the Netherlands and Belgium. Apple Intelligence will only be rolled out here later this year.
Apple is working on iOS 18.4
Apple has re -released iOS 18.3 for a number of iPhones, but is now working hard on the next update in the background. It is expected that the first test version of iOS 18.4 will soon be rolled out for developers. This will be an important update for European users, because the first parts of Apple Intelligence are probably finally coming to Europe with iOS 18.4.
Apple has already indicated that Apple Intelligence is coming to the European Union in April. That month is iOS 18.4, so that European users can finally get started with (part of) the AI ​​functions.
