The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are reportedly coming in September in a new pink color that’s different than previously thought. Here’s how it works!
iPhone 16 Pro gets a new color
The iPhone 16 will be released in two months and much is already known about the phone. Last year, Apple made Pro models with a titanium casing for the first time. We will probably also see the titanium edges this year on the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but the finish will be different. For example, the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) will reportedly also appear in a new pink color.

The iPhone 15 Pro (Max) now has a choice of four colours. The phone is available in natural titanium, blue titanium, white titanium and black titanium. Not very striking colours, but that will change with the next iPhone with the pink colour. In addition to pink, the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) is also available in black, white (also silver) and grey (also natural titanium). We will probably not see the blue titanium version again this year.
Not like the iPhone 6S
The new pink color of the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) will be different than previously thought. The iPhone 6S previously also appeared in a pink version. Apple called that color rose gold, a color that was also previously used for the Apple Watch. It was long expected that the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) would also appear in rose gold, but a new rumor contradicts this. Instead, Apple will probably opt for pink.
It is striking that Apple is again not releasing a gold iPhone. Apple’s last gold smartphone was the iPhone 14 Pro, with the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) we did not see the color again. With the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) we also seem to have to do without gold. Thanks to the new rumors we now also know that there will be no rose gold iPhone, but the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) will really be pink.
Subtle pink color
The iPhone 16 Pro (Max) is also expected to come in a subtle pink version, and not have a bright pink casing like previous iPhones. This has to do with the titanium edges of the phone, which limits Apple in the (bright) colors that can be chosen. The finish of the edges will also be different, with the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) opting for a glossy finish.

The edges of the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) have a brushed finish. In addition, the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) will be a bit bigger, because the devices get larger displays.
