
The iPhone’s power saving mode turns off automatically after a certain charge level. Here’s how to keep it on without interruption.
There are many tips to improve the autonomy of your iPhone. Among these, the activation of the energy saving mode which makes it possible to improve the battery life by temporarily deactivating the reception of e-mails, the refreshing of the applications in the background, the automatic downloads or still iCloud backup.
However, iOS’s power saving mode faces two major limitations: it can only be activated manually (from the dedicated menu, the control center or from a notification when the battery drops below 20%). ), and it turns off automatically once the battery is over 80% charged.
However, there is a way to keep iOS power saving mode active at all times. Here is how to do it.
1. Download Shortcuts
Start by downloading the Shortcuts app on your iPhone. It is thanks to this application, which allows you to create automation scripts, that you will be able to activate the energy saving mode without time limit.

2. Create an automation script
Open Shortcuts and go to the tab dedicated to Automation. Tap Create Custom Automation to create a script that will run on your iPhone.

3. Select the script parameters
In the New automation pane that appears, scroll down to the Settings section and tap Power saving mode.
You must now select the instructions for your script. For our tip, we’re going to tell iOS what to do when Power Saving Mode is turned off. Select the option Is deactivated and press Next.

4. Add an action
In the following window, you need to select the action that iOS should take when Power saving mode is disabled.
To do this, tap Add action, then in the pane that appears, find Power saving and tap Set power saving mode to select it.
The action defined should therefore be Activate energy saving mode. Tap Next.

5. Disable Ask before running
The last step allows you to have a summary preview of the created script. Automation should therefore be as follows:
When >> When the energy saving mode is deactivated >> Do >> Set the energy saving mode
Finally, deactivate the Ask before executing instruction and validate by pressing Do not ask and press OK.
To test your script, turn on Power Saving Mode, and turn it off. Whenever iOS detects that the power saving mode is disabled, it will take care of activating it without asking your permission.

6. Disable the script
If you no longer want the power saving mode of iOS to be constantly on, you can deactivate the script by going directly to Shortcuts, within the Automation tab.
All you have to do is press the script, uncheck the Enable this automation option and press OK to confirm the deactivation of the script.

You can also simply delete the script from your device by sliding your finger left over the script to reveal a Delete button.
