1. Create and send an invitation
The app is intended for making an invitation and sending it, so that is also the easiest. It works as follows:
- Download and open the app invitations;
- Tap at the top right of the plus sign;
- Tap ‘Add background’ and choose a background or (take) a photo;
- Enter a name for the event, and enter the date and time;
- Tap on ‘location’ to indicate where the event is taking place;
- Tap ‘Preview’ at the top right.
If you are satisfied with the invitation, then tap ‘Next’ at the top right. You can then send the invitation made immediately. This is possible via e-mail or via messages, but you can also share the link directly in another app, or copy the link.
2. Add a photo album
It is also possible to add a shared photo album right away. Everyone can add photos of the event to that. The photo album is automatically added as a shared album to your photos app, where you can adjust its settings at all times.
To add a shared photo album, open the invitation made and tap the three dots at the top right. In the shortcut menu that appears on ‘Change’. Then scroll down and tap ‘Create album’. Give the album a name and tap ‘Rounded’ at the top right.
3. Add a playlist
You can also choose to send an Apple Music playlist. That can be a playlist that you have created yourself, but a joint playlist is also possible. You first create it in the Apple Music app.
Adding the playlist works in the same way as adding a photo album. The playlist option is immediately below.
4. Approve guests and extra guests
If you want to be sure that no random guests connect, you can choose to manually approve each individual guest. To do this, open the invitation, tap the three dots at the top right and tap ‘Event Settings’. Place the switch behind ‘Keur guests well’ then on ‘on’.
You can also choose that every guest can take one or more guests with you. You have the choice of 1 to 5. Tap for this above ‘inspecting guests’ on ‘extra guests’ and tap the number of guests that every guest can take with you.
5. Send a note
Have you sent the invitation, but do you want to add some information? No problem, you just send a note! The ‘send a note’ button is immediately visible when you open a made invitation again. Tap on it, type your message and tap ‘Send note’.
The memorandum appears at the bottom of the block where you yourself as an organizer. If you still want to remove the memorandum, tap it and choose ‘Remove Note’.
6. Respond as a recipient
If you have received an invitation via the app invitations, you have a few options. Of course you can immediately let you know whether you are coming or not, but you can also change your name and your photo. You can also let us know if and how many extra guests may or may not take you with you. You can also leave a message for all guests and view the guest list.
7. If you don’t have an iCloud+ subscription
Do you have one iCloud+ Subscription, then you get the app for free. If you do not have iCloud+ subscription, then unfortunately you cannot send invitations yourself. But luckily you can just receive and accept them. Invitations to this app can therefore be sent to everyone with confidence, also to Android users.
