Is very spicy food bad for your stomach, esophagus and body?

I like to eat very spicy, people around me tell me that this can certainly no longer be healthy to this extent. Is this really the case?

Answer

Best,

Very spicy food in itself is not really harmful in healthy people.

It is true that if you already have small wounds on your esophagus or stomach (you don’t necessarily feel this), these spicy substances can aggravate this and give a burning sensation. When your food is too spicy, you will also cover up the basic flavors. You don’t really taste the food on your plate anymore. Exaggerating is never good.
