Triumph’s plan to gain a foothold in the off-road scene is getting more and more serious. Five-time World Enduro Champion Iván Cervantes has won the Trail category in the Baja España Aragón on his Tiger 900 Rally Pro.

Cervantes took a resounding win in the all-new Trail category. He completed the 450km of the challenging terrain in Aragon in 6 hours, 13 minutes and 32 seconds, a whopping one hour and 6 minutes faster than second in the category.
But perhaps even more impressive, Cervantes finished 11th overall in a race that counts as round four of the 2022 FIM Bajas World Cup, just 33 minutes 50 seconds from the eventual winner.
The entire field of the Baja of Aragon consisted of 75 riders, including some of the strongest drivers in the international rally world with their special race bikes with Dakar specifications.
The all-new Trail and Maxi-Trail categories of the Baja of Aragon were created to showcase the ever-growing range of production Adventure motorcycles and the Triumph seized its opportunity to make the most of its assets.
The victory of the Tiger 900 Rally Pro, which was donned for the occasion in a unique ‘Baja Aragon’ livery, demonstrates the machine’s outstanding off-road capabilities and cements its position as the leader in the segment.
“We came to the Baja of Aragón with a clear goal, namely to win the new Trail category with the Tiger 900 Rally Pro. However, our higher ambition was to get the best possible result in the general classification and many were amazed at the speed we had with the Trail.”
“We’re proud of the work we’ve done and we’ve given everyone a lot of material to talk about. This proves once again that Triumph has made an appearance in off-road racing and intends to stay there.” We chose this race because in the future we will also be at the start here with our Enduro project, and of course want to achieve success!”
“I am delighted to be back on the Baja of Aragon after all these years and to return home as champion in the category with Triumph.”
