Jaguar E-Pace also as R-Dynamic Black Edition

Jaguar E-Pace also as R-Dynamic Black Edition

Jaguar’s smallest SUV gets a new version. Jaguar is expanding the Dutch price list of the E-Pace with a flavor that goes by the name R-Dynamic Black Edition. In addition, Jaguar is making a minor update to the entire delivery range of the E-Pace.

Jaguar already supplied the E-Pace in the versions S, SE, HSE, R-Dynamic S, R-Dynamic SE, R-Dynamic HSE and Sport. The R-Dynamic range is now expanded with the R-Dynamic Black Edition. As its name implies, the R-Dynamic Black Edition distinguishes itself mainly with a series of black design accents.

The R-Dynamic Black Edition is based on the R-Dynamic S version, so it is not on the richest equipped R-Dynamic that is for sale. Yet the new version is certainly not wrong in its stuff. For example, he has the Black Pack as standard, a package that includes black instead of chrome-colored window frame, black mirror caps and black inserts on the front screens. In addition, Jaguar puts the R-Dynamic Black Edition on 19-inch alloy wheels that are a size larger than those of the R-Dynamic S on which it is based. Behind those Satin Gray colored wheels, red brake calipers are hidden. Privacy glass and a glass panoramic roof are also part of the R-Dynamic Black Edition party.

The E-Pace R-Dynamic Black Edition is available in combination with all engines with which the E-Pace is available. Both the 165 hp D165 – with and without mild hybrid technology – as the always mild hybrid D200, P160, P200, P250 and plug-in hybrid P300e are available as R-Dynamic Black Edition.

And the rest?

There is also news pertaining to the rest of the E-Pace family. Later this year, all E-Paces will get one Over the Air (OTA) software update that enables a wireless connection between your smartphone and Android Auto and Apple Carplay. High beam assistant and a memory function for the electrically adjustable front seats and door mirrors are now standard on S models. Furthermore, the SE flavors benefit from the arrival of a new comprehensive audio system from Meridian.

The Jaguar E-Pace is not exactly a success in the Netherlands. The car is not lightweight and is therefore severely affected by the Dutch tax system. The facelift recently implemented on the E-Pace brought, among other things, a 309 hp plug-in hybrid and various new mild hybrid versions to the SUV. A new entry-level engine was also added: the P160. Since its Dutch market introduction in 2018, the E-Pace has been sold 408 times in our country. Last year, about 40 units were sold and so the E-Pace finished in the sales list in place 232, behind the Mercedes-Benz GLS and the slightly less unpopular 3-series GT.
