Now the brand’s smallest SUV has also been facelifted. We are digitally introduced to the facelifted Jaguar E-Pace.
- With 306 hp plug-in hybrid
- Extensive range of mild hybrid gasoline and diesel engines
- New three-cylinder petrol engine
- Minor external changes
- New Pivi Pro infotainment
The Jaguar E-Pace is blowing its third candle this year and that means that the little brother of the F-Pace is ready for a facelift. As was the case with the renewed versions of the F-Pace, XF and XE, the news mainly takes place under the sheet metal. That’s not to say the E-Pace remains untouched on the outside. The most noticeable changes to the front concern the headlights. They will be given a new layout and are now equipped with Jaguar’s Double J-daytime running lights. The headlights are now optionally available with Pixel LED technology. The E-Pace gets a new front bumper with larger openings and extra ‘curves’ under the headlights. The grille is filled with a new mesh. The changes at the rear are less drastic. Here Jaguar adjusts the bumper. The four-cylinder versions have integrated exhaust tailpipes.

Interior
In addition to the appearance, the interior of the E-Pace is also being modernized. Do not expect a completely new dashboard as Jaguar introduced in the renewed F-Pace and XF. Just like the XE, the E-Pace has recently been given a refreshed workplace with a new and much larger infotainment display. The curved screen is 11.4-inch and is part of the new PiviPro infotainment system. The alarm light button moves from the bottom of the screen to the top of it. The physical buttons previously located below the infotainment screen are replaced by a touch-sensitive panel located between the revamped rotary knobs of the climate control. Behind the new steering wheel is a new 12.3-inch digital instrumentation. We also observe news in the middentunnel. Jaguar gives the E-Pace a new selector lever for the automatic transmission and the brand places, among other things, an induction charger in the now larger storage compartment. The interior further benefits from the arrival of new materials.

Jaguar E-Pace
Mild hybrid petrol and diesel engines
The Jaguar E-Pace was until now only available with conventional petrol and diesel engines, but that is now completely changing. All powertrains, minus the 163 hp and 380 Nm strong 2.0-liter entry-level diesel with manual gearbox and front-wheel drive, are electrified. The 163 hp diesel with four-wheel drive and nine-speed automatic transmission, just like its 204 hp and 430 Nm strong 2.0-liter diesel brother, is equipped with mild hybrid technology.
The petrol list is even more interesting. Where previously the 200 hp P200 was the entry-level version, Jaguar now also supplies the E-Pace with a 160 hp and 260 Nm strong three-cylinder turbo engine. The variant linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission is the only front-wheel drive petrol version on the E-Pace engine list. Just like the rest of the petrol engines, this three-burner is also equipped with 48v mild hybrid technology. In 10.3 counts, the E-Pace sprints with a three-cylinder to a speed of 100 km / h. Its top: 197 km / h.
A step above we find the 200 hp and 320 Nm strong mild-hybrid 2.0. Just like the variants mentioned below, this version is always four-wheel drive and linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Jaguar also supplies the renewed E-Pace with 249 hp and 365 Nm and 300 hp and 400 Nm strong versions of the same 2.0, flavors that are also mild-hybrid. The 300 hp plugless top version helps the E-Pace to a speed of 100 km / h in 6.9 seconds. Only at 241 km / h acceleration is a thing of the past.
Plug-in hybrid
The E-Pace is not only introduced to mild hybrid technology for the first time, the SUV is available for the first time in its existence with a plug-in hybrid powertrain! Just like the smallest petrol version, this new plug version has a 1.5 three-cylinder engine under the hood. In this P300e PHEV-baptized version, the petrol engine linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission, however, has 200 hp and works together with a 109 hp electric motor on the rear axle. The system power is 309 hp and 540 Nm, good for acceleration from a standstill to a speed of 100 km / h in 6.5 seconds. More interesting is the 15 kWh battery pack located under the boot floor of the luggage compartment. This package provides the E-Pace P300e with an electric range of 55 kilometers. The plug-in hybrid E-Pace manages to complete a sprint from a standstill to a speed of 100 km / h in 6.5 seconds. Its top speed: 216 km / h.
