Jeep sees bread in SUVs with three rows of seats and therefore room for at least seven passengers. The brand announces the arrival of another such model: the Meridian.
If you are in the market for a seven-seat SUV, Jeep has come to the right place. At least outside Europe. Where Jeep does not supply us with a single SUV with three rows of seats, the brand has various SUVs in that category elsewhere in the world, the majority of which are also quite young. Jeep has been supplying the Grand Commander in China for several years and last year the brand introduced the Grand Cherokee L in the United States. Shortly after the launch of that SUV, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer were added, and in South America, Jeep also has the young Commander on the roll. That Commander is now being brought to India under a different name.
The Commander like Jeep that is going to deliver in India, listens to the name Meridian. Although both the Commander and the Meridian will not come to the Netherlands, with a little imagination we can also taste the model here. The Commander and Meridian are succinctly taken, namely the longer seven-seat brothers of the well-known Compass. However, Jeep has not only extended the body of the Compass, both the Commander and the Meridian have their own packaging. In terms of design, the Meridian only differs from its South American equivalent in detail. We see a slightly different interpretation of the lighting through the camouflage work, otherwise we expect few surprises.
