In the first half of this year, KGM, formerly known as SsangYong, will launch an electric SUV. However, there are more electric newcomers of the model in the pipeline. Three pieces even.

A lot is happening at the brand you used to know as SsangYong. It came under new ownership, was subsequently renamed KG Mobility and now calls itself simply KGM. In the first half of this year, KGM will launch the electric variant of the brand new Torres: the Torres EVX. That electric SUV will not remain the brand’s only electric car.

KGM indicates that it is working hard behind the scenes on the development of an electric pick-up, a medium-sized electric SUV and a large electric SUV. KGM does not do this alone, but together with the Chinese colossus BYD.

KGM’s electric pick-up goes by the code name O100. The medium-sized electric SUV currently bears the development name KR10, while the large electric SUV is currently referred to as F100. In March last year, KGM, then called KG Mobility, already brought three study models onto the podium. These three visions of the future were simply referred to by their internal development name. The KR10 will be an electric SUV in which KGM incorporates quite a few design elements from the second generation Korando. As early as 2021, the company then called SsangYong already showed the car in sketch form. The larger electric SUV F100 will also have a retro appearance. Pick-up O100 appears to be the pick-up version of the electric Torres EVX.

The market introductions of the KGM O100 (the pick-up) and the KR10 (the Korando-like) are planned for the second half of this year.
