The new Kia Sorento is presented to the public step by step. After the carriage followed the international engine list, now the Dutch importer announces which engines customers in our country can choose from. The diesel is not coming to our country!
Kia Netherlands announces that the new SUV will come to our country at the end of this summer with various electrified powertrains. Initially, Kia parks a “Smartstream” hybrid powertrain in the showrooms, later a plug-in hybrid follows. In the hybrid, the 180 hp 1.6 T-GDI petrol engine works together with a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 60 hp electric motor. Together this is good for a system power of 230 hp and 350 Nm of torque. This drivetrain is standard connected to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Information about the plug-in hybrid will follow later. The 202 hp diesel does not come to our country. At the end of the summer, the Sorento is at our dealers. Prices and further specifications will follow by then.
