Kia Bongo as EV

Pay attention to gardeners with import aspirations. Kia has presented a fully electric version of the Bongo in its home country, a compact pickup that is unfortunately not sold in the Netherlands via the official channels.

The Bongo EV is a fully electric version of the fourth generation of Kia’s compact pickup, presented in the base in 2005. The workhorse that has been facelifted several times over the years normally has a diesel engine in its blunt nose, but that is of course different for this brand new EV variant.

The Bongo EV has a 58.8 kWh battery pack on board, which supplies energy to a 184 hp electric motor. According to Kia, the electric pick-up must cover 211 kilometers on one battery charge. The Bongo EV can also be hung on a fast charger, and that is of course so nice. In terms of safety, the Bongo EV is also slightly better than its more conventional brothers and sisters. For example, the practical EV has an automatic emergency braking system and a lane assistant. The starting price of the Bongo EV in South Korea is approximately € 31,380.
