The subsidy for plug-in hybrids is temporarily back. Although, only if you turn to Kia for a new plugin. Until the end of June, the Dutch importer will give a € 4,000 discount.
The € 4,000 bonus applies to all three plug-in hybrids that Kia has in the range: the Ceed Sportswagon, Xceed and Niro. With this move, the Kia Ceed Sportswagon is the cheapest plug-in hybrid in the Netherlands and overtakes the Hyundai Ioniq. De Ceed now has a temporary starting price of € 30,495. The Xceed is € 1,000 more expensive. Funnily enough, the plug-in is now even cheaper than an average Xceed with a petrol engine. That average is approximately € 32,000. The Niro plug-in now leaves the showroom after an investment of € 32,195. This makes it only slightly more expensive than the hybrid Niro without a plug.
The three plug-ins have the same drivetrain. A 1.6-liter four-cylinder GDI petrol engine works together with a 60 hp electric motor. The battery pack has a capacity of 8.9 kWh. The system power is 141 hp and fully electric, the range is around 50 kilometers. The temporary promotion runs until the end of June.
