New Plus intermediate flavour
Kia is expanding the Dutch delivery range of the electric Kia EV9 with new versions. AutoWeek can report this before Kia itself makes it public. Regardless of the chosen powertrain, the Kia EV9 is now also available as a Plus. The strongest Kia EV9 is also available in combination with the entry-level Air flavor.
The electric Kia EV9 is slowly but surely becoming available in more and more versions in the Netherlands. The rear-wheel drive Kia EV9 – with one electric motor – was already available as a special introductory version Launch Edition and recently also became available as an ‘entry-level version’ Air. The four-wheel drive Kia EV9 Dual Motor was currently only available as a Launch Edition GT-Line. The delivery range of both engine versions is now expanded with the Plus, while the EV9 Dual Motor is now also available as an Air.
The Kia EV9 RWD has a 204 hp and 350 Nm strong electric motor on the rear axle and, like every other EV9, has a 99.8 kWh battery. This combination gives the EV9 a range of up to 563 kilometers. The 5.01 meter long SUV zooms to a speed of 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds. For more power you can select the four-wheel drive EV9 Dual Motor. As Air and Plus two, it has a combined 384 hp and 600 Nm. That combination is good for a range of 512 kilometers. You can reach a speed of 100 km/h in just 6 seconds.
As mentioned, the EV9 Dual Motor is also available as a Launch Edition GT-Line, a variant that we expect will eventually be replaced by a regular GT-Line. This version is the sportiest of the bunch and has 100 Nm extra than the regular Dual Motor versions. With a 0-100 time of only 5.3 seconds, this is the fastest EV9. The EV9 is available as a GT-Line, in addition to a seven-seater, and also with six seats. The range of the EV9 Dual Motor Launch Edition GT-Line is 505 kilometers.

Equipment Kia EV9
Entry-level Air version has, among other things, 19-inch alloys, electrically adjustable front seats, a 29-inch wide panel containing the instruments and the infotainment screen, a 360-degree camera, Highway Assistance (HDA 2.0) and intelligent parking assistance. The new Plus version adds artificial leather interior upholstery, a digital interior mirror, a memory function for the driver’s seat and the steering wheel, a massage function for the driver’s seat and an extensive audio system from Meridan. The Launch Editions has all of the above, supplemented with a head-up display. The Launch Edition GT-Line is topped off with almost everything the EV9 can offer. It has 21-inch alloy wheels, sporty GT-Line accents, a sportier interior, a sliding/tilting roof and even more extensive parking assistance with remote control.
