Kia presents Sonet Concept

Kia has presented a brand new study model in India. We welcome: the Sonet Concept, a show car with which Kia is looking ahead to a new crossover for the Indian market.

The Sonet Concept is a study model that is just under four meters long and looks ahead to a new crossover that should appear on the Indian market in the second half of this year. The newcomer will operate in the segment in which the Ford Ecosport, Tata Nexon and Hyundai Creta are active in India.

According to Kia, the Sonet is primarily focused on, you guessed it, people who “[…] always want to be connected to the world in more than one way “. So hip birds, although practice will undoubtedly teach that the car will ultimately be bought by another part of the population. The way in which Kia opts for the C-pillar optically running late, reminiscent of the Stonic C-pillar.On the back of the car we find a light bar that runs the entire width of the butt and the nose is characterized not only by its strikingly designed tigernose grille with red accents, but also by its free aggressively the world in piercing headlights.

Kia talks about, among other things, the presence of a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a Bose audio system and an ‘intelligent manual gearbox’, a transmission that is likely to interfere with switching.

The Sonet is not the only newcomer from Kia, the brand also brings a toughly dressed X-Line version of the Seltos to the Indian Auto Expo. The Seltos itself is already a familiar one, we do not have to expect that car in the Netherlands, just like the final production version of the Sonet.
