New super and hypercar manufacturers are popping up like mushrooms. Today introduces Kincsem, a new player in the segment where staggering amounts of horsepower are flying around your ears.
Kincsem is a new Hungarian company that has engaged none other than Callum, the design firm of former Jaguar designer Ian Callum, for the design of its firstborn. Kincsem’s first car, named after a 19th century Hungarian racehorse, will be an electrified hypercar: the Hyper-GT.
According to Kincsem founder Tibor Bak, there will soon be a lot to personalize at the brand and the cars will be peppered with digital indulgence. Although Kincsem says it will come with a wide and diverse model range, it now turns its attention to the Hyper-GT. According to Kincsem, that car will have a hybrid powertrain that is derived from that of an F1 car. The first copies of the car of which the company is now showing a teaser plate should be delivered in 2023.
Kincsem is not exactly shy and indicates that the car – although the price is not yet known – will compete with models “in the highest echelons” of the car country. Count on a price tag with at least seven decimal places. The Hyper-GT will be presented at the end of this year. At a later stage, Kincsem says it will come with an SUV that will have the same powertrain as the Hyper-GT. See first, then believe.
