The first edition was an unmitigated success, so KTM and the German high-end tuning company BRABUS have continued their collaboration this year. The newly limited High-Luxus naked is the successor to the exclusive BRABUS 1300 R that was launched exactly one year ago.
Founded in 1977, Bottrop-based BRABUS has focused on super-exclusive high-end cars, with luxury, performance and handmade exclusivity as its main spearheads.
After having done this with cars for 45 years, the field of activity was expanded to two-wheelers last year, for which a partnership with KTM was entered into. The result, the BRABUS 1300 R, had an enormous wow effect, the limited edition of 77 pieces (the year the company was founded) for each color sold out in no time.
In that respect, the 2023 edition of the BRABUS 1300 R is a little less exclusive. The bike will again be available in two colors – “Superblack” and “Stealth Gray” – with 145 units per color this time. That’s almost double the 2022 version.

Just like the 2022 edition, the 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO has been the starting point of the BRABUS 1300 R. According to the Germans, the 2023 edition has not only retained its “Black and Bold” identity, but has been strengthened by some extra features.
For example, a number of parts, including the bracket of the headlight, the side panels and the large air intakes are now made of carbon fiber, but on the other hand, the wheels have not been machined, so that the very greasy metal contour is missing and the wheels are not more as insanely beautiful as the first edition. By the way, the Germans themselves call it a “Platinum Black” finish.
From a technical point of view, the 2023 BRABUS 1300 R is the same as the 2022 version, with the latest WP APEX semi-active suspension, which has 6 different modes: Comfort, Street, Sport, Track, Advanced and Auto, the latter mode the suspension automatically adjusts to road conditions and driving style.
