Earlier this month, we had seized spy photos of the 890 SMT during testing in the south of Spain, an area used by many manufacturers as a European testing ground.
The 890 SMT, which KTM has been working on for nearly three years, is based on the current 890 Adventure, but with 17″ cast wheels with sporty street rubber and slightly reduced suspension travel. The bike will be positioned between the 890 Adventure and 890 Duke .
We guessed at the beginning of this month that the engine could be put on the market at the end of this year, but we appear to have been on the cautious side. As KTM has now announced, the 890 SMT will be unveiled on April 24. We are curious…
