Lamborghini confirms arrival of ‘off-road Huracán’

Lamborghini confirms the arrival of a very peculiar Huracán through a teaser video. The brand comes with a kind of off-road version of the Huracán, a car that we secretly already knew was in the barrel.

In 2019 Lamborghini presented the Huracán Sterrato Concept, a study model that is perhaps best described as a high-on-the-legs Huracán with heavily expanded plastic wheel arches, skid plates, off-road tires and exuberant additional lighting. Initially it seemed that it would remain a one-off creative splurge, but we have already seen test copies of an actually raised Huracán twice. Lamborghini is now releasing a teaser video in which you can see a stickered production version of the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato Concept in action on unpaved terrain.

It therefore seems almost certain that Lamborghini will produce the Huracán Sterrato, possibly in a small edition. There is of course always room for a new derivative in Lambo country. We see a Huracán with the well-known wheel arch extensions, extra lighting and the already known skid plates. The V10 of the Huracán Sterrato Concept pounded 640 horsepower to all four wheels, so we’re betting on a similar amount of horsepower for the Sterrato – if that’s what it’s going to be called.

The cross-Huracán doesn’t seem to be the only elevated known supercar. Porsche has been working on a ‘911 Safari’ for some time now. If we go back in time, we will come across the Mega Track of Aixam, which you can read more about here.
