Focus on the longest
Land Rover injects the longest of the three Defenders delivery range with new versions. The extra long Land Rover Defender 130 is also available with a powerful V8 and gets a new rugged version that listens to the name Outbound.
Land Rover supplies the Defender in three lengths. The youngest of these is the Defender 130, which, at 5.1 meters long – including the rear spare wheel – is 78 centimeters longer than the short 90 and exceeds the medium-sized 110 by 34 centimeters in length. All three body styles were already available with numerous engines, but the 90 and 110 were the only Defenders to date that you could also order with a V8. That is now changing.
The Land Rover Defender 130 also gets a supercharged 5.0 V8. The eight-cylinder delivers 500 hp and 610 Nm in the longest Defender. This makes it remarkably slightly less potent than in the 90 and 110 in which the V8 kicks up to 525 hp and 625 Nm. Should you be sad about that? No. The Land Rover Defender 130 V8 stomps to a speed of 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds. The Defender 130 was already available as a D250, D300 and as a plug-in hybrid P400.
Available in dark Carpathian Gray and Santorini Black, the Defender 130 V8 features four exhaust tailpipes, an opening panoramic glass roof, matrix LED headlights, 22-inch dark gray alloys and a pair of V8 badging. As far as the equipment is concerned, it is otherwise good. The Brit has a fourteen-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat that can be heated and ventilated, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, four-zone climate control and even an electrically heated third row of seats in the back. An extensive Meridan audio system is also included.

There is more news for the Defender 130. The longest Defender gets a new version called Outbound. It is only available as a five-seater and therefore not available in an eight-seater configuration. According to the English, the Outbound is ideal for rugged exploration. The luggage space is therefore enormous with 1,329 to 2,516 liters. From the outside you can recognize the Defender 130 Outbound by its Shadow Atlas Matt-colored details in the bumpers and grille, the anthracite-colored grilles in the front wings and the special 20-inch alloy. The Outbound will soon be available in the colors Fuji White, Santorini Black, Carpathian Gray and Eiger Gray and is filled with Windsor leather on the inside. According to Land Rover, those who are really adventurous opt for the Resist upholstery that can take an extra beating. The Outbound gets special rubber mats and extra storage compartments and attachment points in the luggage compartment.
The Defender 130 Outbound has electronically controlled air suspension with Terrain Response 2, 43 centimeters of suspension travel and can drive through bodies of water with a depth of up to 90 centimeters. The Defender 130 Outbound will be marketed as D300 and P400.

Country Exterior
Land Rover also has news for the mid-range Defender 110. For that variant, there is the Country Exterior Pack that can be ordered in combination with the 110 in S, SE and HSE versions. It includes classic looking 20-inch wheels. Three color combinations are possible for the exterior.
The Land Rover Defender 130 V8 costs at least €240,114 in the Netherlands. The Defender 130 Outbound – in the Netherlands only as a D300 for the time being – has a price of €160,294.
