Land Rover released the fairly extensive price list of the new Range Rover this week. The SUV is available in many variants, where the price can quickly exceed two tons in euros if you don’t pay attention. However, if you go for the ‘cheapest’ version on the price list, you don’t have to be ashamed.

Range Rover P440e SE

€137,562

The new Range Rover is by far the cheapest in our tax climate if you go for a plug-in hybrid. From now on, the Range Rover with plug comes in two variants: the P440e and P510e. Both versions have a 3.0-liter six-cylinder under the hood, only the power differs. Convenience serves people, because to see how much power the drivetrain in question has, you only have to look at the number in the type designation. The ‘entry-level’ thus already has 440 hp. With a battery pack of 38.2 kWh, you should be able to travel up to 113 kilometers on one battery charge, according to Land Rover. Fast charging with a charging speed of up to 50 kW is also an option.

Prefer no plug-in hybrid? Then you pay at least €175,473 for a P400 MHEV, a mild hybrid that also has the 3.0-liter six-cylinder on board. Diesel drivers can get into the D250 MHEV for €163,074. The new Range Rover is no longer available with four cylinders, because the entry-level diesel is also a six-cylinder. Prefer a little more space? Then you can also opt for a Range Rover with a long wheelbase, which is in the order books as a P440e HSE from €149,416. The seven-seat type is not available as a PHEV, which means that you have to put a minimum of €183,839 on the table.

Too many choices

In terms of body styles and engines, you are probably just as sweet with your choice when you configure a new Range Rover. Once you have finally chosen the desired variant, it doesn’t stop there. The new Range Rover is available as SE, HSE, Autobiography, SV and temporarily as First Edition. It is beyond the scope of this section to describe all versions in detail, so we focus on the basic version SE.

Land Rover sprays the SE in the unilak ‘Fuji White’ as standard. That is also the only color that does not cost money. For €1,223 you can choose from seven metallic paint colours, ‘premium metallic paint’, with a choice of four colours, costs €2,375. If you don’t see a desired color among them yet, you can go to the ‘SV Premium-Palet’ for €5.601, with a choice of another 21 special paint colours. The most expensive color for the Range Rover is ‘Icy White’ in satin with a price of €11,990. The paint mixer is busy.

The roof is standard in the body color, but for €1,068 you can also have it in black. A fixed glass panoramic roof is always present, for a sliding/tilting part you pay €326 extra. The Range Rover’s exterior accents are basically “Nickel Atlas” color as shown in the images. Do you prefer these in black? Then you have to debit €916. The Range Rover rolls on the 21-inch light metal shown. A size smaller is possibly available at no extra cost, 22-inch wheels cost at least €1,831. The Range Rover looks into the night with ‘Pixel LED’ headlights. To make it easy to maneuver the large SUV into a parking space, front and rear parking sensors are also standard. Keyless Entry, soft-close doors and an electric tailgate are also already included for the starting price. A towbar is an option of €1,514.

Digital Traditional

In the interior, black leather and brown burr walnut with a matte finish are the clock in the base Range Rover. The headliner is black on the pillars, but light on the roof. The top and bottom of the dashboard and the door edges are covered in leather as standard. You sit on 20-way electrically adjustable seats with memory and seat heating. The climate control is divided into two zones as standard. The rear passengers also have heated seats and can electrically adjust their backrests. A heated steering wheel costs €265 extra, for seat ventilation you have to put €916 on the table. If desired, you can also provide the rear passengers with seat ventilation for €1,831.

The 13.1-inch touchscreen of the Pivi Pro infotainment system takes pride of place in the Range Rover’s interior. The digital ‘Interactive Driver Display’ is also standard, as are Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Meridian is responsible for the 400 Watt audio system with 14 speakers and a subwoofer. If that’s not enough, Land Rover also offers the Meridian 3D Surround Sound audio system with 18 speakers and 800 Watts for €1,630.

The Range Rover is standard in the off-road with Terrain Response 2 and electronically controlled air suspension. Systems such as Roll Stability Control, Cornering Brake Control and Hill Descent Control are included. Furthermore, the Range Rover always has a Blind Spot Assist, Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and adaptive cruise control on board. With the Advanced Offroad Capability Pack you can further increase the Range Rover’s off-road capability for €4,983. Then you also get air suspension with ‘Dynamic Response’, the ‘Electronic Active Differential’ and configurable programs for Terrain Response 2.

For the starting price you will certainly not get a scanty car, but that is also allowed for that amount. However, you can increase the price considerably in the configurator. A striking option that Land Rover also offers is the ‘Tailgate Event Suite’ (€1,983), where you create two small seats in the trunk when you open the lid.
