Download images and videos received in WhatsApp only via WiFi. This way you have control over your data usage.
data usage
Always fun; receive a WhatsApp message with a photo. If you do this via WiFi, then there is nothing to worry about. After all, you do not pay per MB. This is different if you are online on a data plan. The subscription is valid for a certain number of MBs per month. Photos and videos take up quite a lot of MBs. Save MBs? Then set WhatsApp to automatically download photos only when you’re online via a Wi-Fi connection.
