A special marketing statement from Lexus in the United States. The brand has teamed up with two artists and music website Pitchfork. The result: the Lexus IS Wax Edition, with a record player in the glove compartment.
The Wax Edition is a one-off with which Lexus undoubtedly wants to draw attention to the thoroughly renewed IS in mid-2020. DJ and producer MC Madlib and artist and producer Kaytranada – we also had to visit them – and music magazine Pitchfork hooked on that.
Lexus IS Wax Edition
The two artists have released a track together that will debut in the Lexus IS Wax Edition. Hell yes. The glove compartment contains a record player that can play music on the go without skipping the needle. The special record player is made of carbon fiber with a 3D printer and has various aluminum parts. The device can simply play full LPs. The record player sends its audio into the interior via a 17-speaker audio system from Mark Levinson.
