Lucid Air Grand Touring has won the Dutch prize

Less expensive than expected

Lucid Air Grand Touring has won the Dutch prize

Lucid is now putting its first model, the Lucid Air, in a non-limited version on the Dutch price list. The car is still pricey, but considerably cheaper than before and than expected.

“The Dream Edition was €222,000 and for the Grand Touring don’t expect anything under €180,000,” colleague Roy wrote after his first introduction to the Lucid Air. The price of the Grand Touring version turns out to be better than expected in practice, because Lucid now offers this car in the Netherlands for €165,000. That is a lot less than the Dream Edition, which is also even more powerful with 1,100 hp. In a Grand Touring, however, you will not be short of anything with 819 hp. The range is nothing short of impressive, with a WLTP range of 839 kilometers

There is also an introductory version of the Grand Touring. Compared to the standard variant, it offers, among other things, a better audio system with 21 speakers and the far-reaching ‘autopilot system’ DreamDrive Pro, but also special wheels. You pay €180,500 for that version and then the previous prediction is correct again.

If 165 grand is still a bit too much for you, it’s good to know that more versions are on the way. For example, a Pure has been announced, which still travels 660 kilometers on a full battery.

In the Netherlands, the first copies of the Air are said to have been delivered as early as 2022. The first buyers of a Lucid Air Grand Touring can already drive their car quite smoothly: the manufacturer predicts that it could be ready as early as the second quarter of this year.
