Lucid Motors currently only sells the Air – also in the Netherlands. In November, however, the American EV manufacturer will add a second electric car to its delivery range: the Gravity. The Lucid Gravity should have a greater electric range than any existing electric SUVs and it is that car that AutoWeek can now exclusively show you from all angles.

The Lucid Air will be joined in November by the Gravity, a monster of an electric SUV, which, according to the manufacturer, will go down as the electric SUV with the longest range in the world. That is promising. This means that it should at least be able to go further than, for example, a Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+, which has a range of 730 kilometers to its name. AutoWeek was previously able to show you a pre-production version shown by Lucid on a patent image, but now we have the final version.

Lucid Gravity

The Lucid Gravity as it comes onto the market differs considerably from the previously shown pre-production version. For example, the bumpers at the front and rear are different, the SUV has a more sloping and apparently lower roofline and a different rear. Not only is the tailgate different, the taillights are also different in shape. The production version of the Lucid Gravity will have its license plate in the tailgate and not – as in the preview of the Gravity – in the rear bumper.

Just like the Lucid Air, the Gravity also gets different powertrains. There will probably be a variant with a 75 kWh battery pack and an approximately 400 hp and 600 Nm strong drivetrain. Lucid also has a four-wheel drive variant with more than 1,000 hp and a 110 kWh battery. That top version could squeeze more than 830 electric NEDC kilometers from its package. We will know more in November!
