The new version of Apple’s operating system disables the display of battery percentage by default. Here’s how to find it.
If you’ve just updated your Mac to macOS Big Sur, you’ve probably noticed the battery percentage in the menu bar has disappeared.
The new version of macOS in fact deactivates this information by default. Fortunately, you can reactivate it in a few clicks from the system settings. Here’s how.
1. Open System Preferences
Start by opening macOS System Preferences. The option to display the battery percentage has changed location and is not in the dedicated Battery menu. Instead, go to the Dock menu and menu bar.

2. Activate the percentage of load
In the side column of the Dock menu and menu bar, scroll through the options and enter the section dedicated to Battery.

You should find a Display percentage option there that you just need to check to find the percentage display next to the battery icon in the menu bar.
