The Quick Note feature built into macOS Monterey is handy, but very often it gets launched accidentally. However, it is possible to deactivate it.
macOS Monterey, the latest version of the Mac operating system, includes very practical functions. This is the case, for example, of Quick note which allows by clicking at the bottom right of the screen, to open and write a new note on the fly in the application of the same name. Unfortunately, even if this function is very practical, it often happens that it opens accidentally.
Attached to the macOS Active Corners system which allows you to assign a task or a shortcut to each of the four corners of your machine’s screen, the opening of Quick Note can be disabled or assigned to another corner of the screen than the one configured by default, less likely to cause problems.

1. Open System Preferences
Open macOS System Preferences, and go to the Mission Control menu.

2. Edit active corners
In the window dedicated to Mission Control settings, click on the Active corners button at the bottom left.

By default, the hot corner at the bottom right of the Mac screen is set to launch Quick note. Click the drop-down menu and select – to disable any action assigned to the lower right active corner.

If you still want to be able to access the function Quick note, assign it to one of the other available hotspots. Then click the OK button to save your changes.
