Apple is giving away the Lily app for a week. This music app lets you create tunes in a playful and original way, through flowers.
Making tunes with Lily
Every week Apple gives away a different app in the App Store. With this, the company puts these apps in the spotlight. This week it is the turn of Lily, a special app for making music. You make all tunes through different music flowers.
You start your piece of music with a single flower. The idea is that the timeline runs along each petal of that flower and it is up to you to choose how the petals sound. If you choose different tones, a tune will quickly arise. It does not stop there, because by choosing multiple flowers you create a complete piece of music. Each flower has its own sound, so you can work extensively with different flowers and different tones. Together, the possibilities are quite extensive.
The timing for this app as ‘Free app of the week’ is not without reason. In the summer, the makers will come up with a new app where you can make music with many more options. By already drawing attention to Lily, there is a greater chance that this new release will stand out. Until then we have a good time with Lily. Usually Apple chooses a game to give away for free, so it’s nice to see something different again.
