Do you love super strong diesel sedans, but are the BMW M340d and even the Alpina D3 S not strong enough for you? Fortunately, there is now the Manhart MH3 400d, which takes the same car as a basis but goes one step further.
For sporty diesels, the BMW M340d is already a wonderful choice as standard, with its 340 hp and 700 Nm strong biturbo 3.0 six-in-line. Those who prefer a step more power and like to combine it with a modest sporty appearance can turn to Alpina for the (now also facelifted) D3 S, which kicks it up to 355 hp and 730 Nm. Is that still not enough for you and do you also prefer a car that does not exactly hide its sporty character with its appearance? Then Manhart may now have the perfect car for you. This is the Manhart MH3 400d.
Although the name suggests otherwise, the MH3 400d does not tap the 400 hp power, but it comes quite close with 380 hp. Still nice 40 hp more than the M340d that served as a basis. The biggest jump, however, was made with the maximum torque, because that has grown from 700 Nm to 770 Nm. All thanks to the Manhart MHtronik Powerbox, which lets the engine management take a different direction. It is not clear what the power sprint does to the sprint times and top speed. Count on a 0-100 km / h sprint that is over in just 4.5 seconds and possibly an unlimited top speed of almost 280 km / h. Especially on intermediate sprints, the four-wheel drive diesel executioner is probably very impressive.
The impressive six-cylinder diesel that delivers another 40 hp and 70 Nm more than normal.
As we are used to from the tuner from Wuppertal, the MH3 400d is packed with all kinds of external extras. For example, we see a new carbon fiber splitter at the front at the bottom of the front bumper and a thick diffuser with four 9 cm thick exhaust ends at the bottom of the butt. It emits an even more terrifying sound than usual, because the MH3 400d also has a new exhaust system. If desired, you can convert a valve to dampen the roar, which is very handy if you drive out of the street early in the morning and want to please your neighbors. Finally, the Manhart MH3 400d stands on special matte black painted 20-inch light metal, it is covered with Manhart logos both inside and out and it has been lowered 4 cm at the front and 3 cm at the rear.
