Maserati puts its newcomer in the digital spotlight. In a new photo series, the MC20 can be seen better than ever!
The wrap, “Stirling Moss” is written on the butt, roof and wheel arches. In this way, Maserati wants to honor the recently deceased racing legend Stirling Moss. Maserati says he was inspired for the MC20 by the car with which the former F1 driver made his debut in Monza in 1958, the Masearti Eldorado. In addition, the Italian brand chooses today, May 13, as the date because today it is exactly 64 years ago that Moss won the Monaco Grand Prix in the Maserati 250F.
The new MC20 should have been unveiled already, but has been postponed due to the corona crisis. The new Italian will have a powertrain designed, developed and produced by Maserati itself. This new powertrain is still somewhat mysterious, because it is not known whether it is, for example, wholly or partly electric.
