From June this year, a completely new electric delivery van will be in the Maxus showrooms: the eDeliver 9. The eDeliver 9 has a load capacity of up to 1,350 kilos and is available in various variants.
Maxus, a brand of the Chinese manufacturer SAIC, is doing quite well in the Netherlands. In February, with the EV80, it held the best-selling electric commercial vehicle in the Netherlands and the significantly smaller eDeliver 3 also managed to secure a place in the top 10 of the most sold electric vans that month. Maxus expands its Dutch delivery range in June with the eDeliver 9, another electric orderer!
The eDeliver 9 is very similar to the Ford Transit, but it is not related to it. The electric eDeliver 9 is available in two lengths and two heights. Depending on the chosen variant, the loading space is a minimum of 9.7 cubic meters and a maximum of 12.95 cubic meters. The closed-order version is the first to arrive in our country, after the summer the Chassis Cab, the Double Cab and the variants intended for passenger transport will follow.
Maxus will soon be offering the eDeliver 9 with no fewer than four different battery packs. 52 kWh, 65 kWh and 72 kWh and 89 kWh large batteries will be available. With the largest package, the eDeliver 9 has a range of 296 kilometers determined according to the WLTP method. With the 72 kWh package, the electric commercial vehicle can travel 236 kilometers, while the smallest package has a range of 186 kilometers. The eDeliver 9 has a 3-phase on-board charger (11 kW) as standard. Fast charging is possible in combination with the largest battery pack with a charging capacity of 80 kW. Although Maxus does not elaborate on the electric powertrain, it is known that the eDeliver 9 has a maximum towing weight of up to 1,500 kilos behind its name.
Detailed specifications and information about models and prices will follow later this month. Inquiries from Techzle at Maxus show that the eDeliver 9 will eventually replace the EV80, which still shares its basis with the LDV Maxus introduced in 2004. This year, however, the EV80 and the eDeliver 9 will still be delivered side by side.
