Best iOS Games May 2020

1. iPhone Game of the Month: Wilmot’s Warehouse

Do you like to create order? Do you relax when your desk is tidy or your shopping list is sorted by the walking route in the supermarket? Then you really should try Wilmot’s Warehouse. In this game you work in a department store and you have to complete assignments at lightning speed. Of course, this is only possible if everything is neatly arranged.

You control Wilmot, a square creature in charge of a department store. All products that are stored consist of squares with an icon on them. For example, the icon of a ring, apple, square or tree. People who have wishes appear at the top of the department store. For example, two trees, or four trumpets and two candles.

You deliver the items by picking them up and dragging them upstairs. You can take a bunch of stuff with you at a time to save time. The difficulty is that after every successful episode a new load of blocks with icons is delivered.

Two phases

The game is divided into two phases. In the first phase, you have limited time to organize the items that have just been delivered. For example, you can choose to put all blocks with natural items or all blocks with simple shapes together. It’s up to you what logic you use. Once the time is up, you have limited time to find and deliver the right products. Do this as soon as possible, because your remaining time determines how many stars you get.

It’s all about planning. If you leave boxes standing, they quickly become obstacles. If the right product is in the back of the house and you can no longer reach it, it can take too much time to deliver the right stuff. The game becomes more and more difficult as more and more types of products are provided. In the end, two hundred different things. With every new product you have to decide very quickly where that box belongs in the department store so that you can find it again yourself.

It’s indescribably nice to finally fly through a well-organized department store and complete your assignments. At a time when there is a lot of uncertainty, it feels extra good to have everything under control in this game.

2. Winding Worlds (Apple Arcade)

In this original puzzle game you have two ways to interact with the world. You swipe your finger horizontally or vertically. With that you either move the main character over a sphere, or you change something in the world she walks on. With this control you dive into a series of special puzzles full of fun stories. For example, a girl who started a relationship with a robot mill, but then made some bad choices.

3. If Found…

As soon as Annapurna Interactive publishes a new game, our attention is aroused. That is no different with the special-looking If Found…. You should see the game as an interactive book in which you go through a special story. You are an eraser that erases the past in order to move forward. Only by destroying something new can be built. You must like to read.

4. The_Otherside (Apple Arcade)

With, among other things, the various X-Com games playable on iOS, there is plenty of fun to be had for the lover of tactical role-playing games. However, The_Otherside takes a slightly different approach, which makes it worth checking out. In each level, your goal is to rid the world of evil by exploring dark areas and finding all the ankhs. The game looks like a board game, which gives a nice twist to the genre.

5. Vikings 2

The Vikings sequel (not to be confused with Lost Vikings) is now playable. In the game you try to get as far as possible while shooting all kinds of monsters. Choose who you play as, get stronger and can take on more and more. Even those huge creatures standing between you and your target.
