Mazda puts CX-60 behind bars

The unveiling of the Mazda CX-60 is fast approaching. Mazda is already sprinkling with teaser images. After a headlight and part of the interior, the Japanese now show a part of the side view of the new SUV.

That side view is quite predictable, because photos of the CX-60 leaked earlier. It already showed that the SUV will have a relatively long hood, which confirms Mazda’s teaser. The wheels of the leaked car and those of the copy in the teaser image also seem to match. Mazda also says it has a new white body color in store for the CX-60. The brand calls it a ‘subtly reflective paint’ that ‘using contrasting light and shadow effects’ is intended to emphasize the design of the CX-60. It remains to be seen how this materializes in practice.

In the Netherlands, the CX-60 will in any case have a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a system power of more than 300 hp. This makes it the first plug-in hybrid from the Japanese. Mazda also spoons six-in-line engines under the long hood of the SUV, but it is not yet clear whether they will also be on the price list in our country. The unveiling of the CX-60 is scheduled for this month. After the CX-60, Mazda also has the CX-80 in the waiting room, a larger version with three rows of seats.
